Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using JobHunt.dev ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including job seekers, employers, and visitors.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

You may not create accounts for the purpose of deception, spam, impersonation, or posting fraudulent job listings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Job Seeker Terms

• The Free tier is available to all job seekers at no cost, with no time limits
• Pro subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually until cancelled
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
• Campus (student) accounts require a valid .edu email address and are subject to annual re-verification
• You retain full ownership of your resume and personal data at all times

4. Employer Terms

• All job listings must represent real, currently open positions with genuine hiring intent
• Listings must include accurate salary ranges, job descriptions, and company information
• Ghost jobs (listings with no intent to hire) are strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension
• Employers must complete our verification process to receive trust badges
• Candidate data received through applications may only be used for hiring purposes related to the applied role
• Employer subscriptions auto-renew and can be cancelled with 30 days notice

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading job listings
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without authorization
• Use the Platform to discriminate based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics
• Attempt to circumvent our fraud detection or verification processes
• Use candidate information for purposes other than legitimate hiring
• Misrepresent your identity, company affiliation, or job authority

6. Verification and Trust Badges

Our trust badges are based on our proprietary verification process, which includes domain verification, business registration checks, recruiter identity validation, salary range verification, and historical posting pattern analysis. Trust badges represent our assessment at a point in time and are not a guarantee. We continuously monitor listings and may revoke trust badges if new information emerges.

7. AI Matching and Recommendations

Our AI matching engine provides recommendations based on your skills, experience, and preferences. Match scores and fit assessments are algorithmic suggestions and do not guarantee employment outcomes. We continuously improve our algorithms and welcome feedback on match quality.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you submit (resumes, reviews, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and process it as part of the Platform's functionality. The JobHunt.dev name, logo, and branding are our trademarks. Our matching algorithms, verification processes, and platform code are proprietary.

9. Limitation of Liability

JobHunt.dev provides a platform to connect job seekers and employers. We are not a recruiting agency and do not guarantee employment or hiring outcomes. While we make every effort to verify listings and prevent fraud, we cannot guarantee that all listings are legitimate. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
